Entry 001: From dashboard to field notes

Notes

The pivot came from a sentence I have used in every product design role I’ve had: writing in public is the cheapest way to find out what you actually understand.

I read a lot, but honestly most of it falls out of my head within a week if I don’t write it down. I’d been notebooking my way through investing for months in private, researching companies, trying to understand terminology, figuring out what actually matters to me as an investor. At some point I realised the product was already there. It was the notebook.

So Carefolio became a documented personal journey of an immigrant woman in her forties, living in Dublin and learning to invest in public. Editorial publication first, research site second, practical guide third. The Care Score is no longer the product, it is my personal filter. The brokers page isn’t the product either. It’s more like the methods section of the lab.
